Queenship of Mary
Mother Mary's apparitions throughout
the world is an ever reminder that she is very much present with us.
Although she is assumed into heaven, body and soul, but her spirit
continues to be present always with us. The Queenship of Mary is the
octave following after the Assumption. Just as the Coronation of
Mary as Queen of Heaven is the 5th Glorious Mystery, following the
4th Glorious Mystery, the Assumption.
Have you ever noticed that the Blessed
Mother is honored in so many different ways. She is Our Lady of
Lourdes, Our Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Our Lady of
Dambana, Our Lady of Lavang, and so many other titles. It is so that
no one can have a claim on her, because she is the New Eve, and she
becomes the Mother for all the living.
John 19:
Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother’s
sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. When Jesus saw
his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his
mother, “Woman, behold, your son.” Then he said to the disciple,
“Behold, your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her
into his home.
The beloved Disciple represents the
Church, but also can represent all the living.
The Gospels proclaimed that Mary
conceive Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit. In other words, the
Lord did not have a human father. But only a human mother. All the
DNA that the Lord receives was from Mother Mary. If we place the
Lord next to Mother, they would look so similar, like members in a
family. We would be able to see the uncanny resemblance. Also, many
things that he learned as a child was from his Mother. How to pray,
how to live a moral and righteous life. She is one of the best ways
to approach the Lord.
We give thanks to our God, and the
outpouring of His love and generosity. God is gracious and gives us
so much that we need. The Lord gives us the Sacraments to give us
nourishment, and strength, and healing. The Lord Jesus gives us the
Holy Spirit, the Advocate, to always be with us. And the Lord also
gives us Mother Mary, to intercede and pray for us on the faith
journey.
Behold, your Mother
