One of the elders got up and talk about the waters. He said that the waters often do not show mercy. They will swallow up the body. Sometimes they do show mercy by giving the body back to the family and community to mourn and grieve.
Currently, the Typhoon near the Philippines and parts of Southeast Asia show no mercy. They are swallowing up hundreds of people and hundreds of bodies are washed ashore.
Please continue to keep victims of the Typhoon in your prayers. Let's be merciful to the victims of the Typhoon by having a second collection this weekend as part of the Archdiocesan relief service.
