Introduction: show of hands, how many of you, this is your first time here at St John Vianney. St. John Vianney was originally on the campus of what is now Bastyr University. It was once a seminary, training seminarians to be future priests. In two years, the church will celebrate its 50th anniversary. When the seminary closed down in 1978, the church was still open, but there was an initiative to move forward to find a new location for the church. Here, they found this plot of land, to build a new future. St John Vianney is the patron of priests, hence the name was chosen for the church. Darryl and Judy were founders members of the church, they were there from the beginning. The new location was established in 1992 or 1993. In 2021, John Vianney will celebrate its 50th, which is a very a young church.

The original vision of the church is that it would be a light on Finn Hill for all peoples. That everyone would feel welcomed here in this holy place, and that would be able to connect with Loving God, and find the spiritual and physical help that they need.
