Epiphany

One helpful image from the story of Epiphany.  The wise men have followed the star they believed would point them to the newborn king.  But when they arrived in Jerusalem, the star is no where to be found, as if it just disappeared.

Arriving into the city, they began to ask the question: Where is the newborn king of the Jews?  We saw his star at its rising and we have come to do him homage.

King Herod gathered the chief priests and scribes to ascertain about the star’s appearance.

Why is it that king Herod and the people couldn’t see the star, and why is it that the wise men were the ones who could see the star?

Why do some of us have faith while others do not?

Why can some of us see Christ in the Eucharist while others don’t?
