Moses and Honesty

Dearly Beloved,

God's word today takes us back to the story of Moses.  One lesson we can learn from Moses is his honesty.  He was honest with himself.

Moses was adopted and raised as a Prince of Egypt.  He was raised in the royal Egyptian palace.  He had everything he needed and wanted.

But deep down he realized that he was not an Egyptian.  He is not a Prince of Egypt.  He was a Hebrew Slave.

Now, Moses could have kept the secret buried so that no one would know.  By doing so, he could continue living a lavish, carefree lifestyle.

But God had other plans for Moses.  God says: "Tell Pharaoh to let my people go."  Moses was sent by God to rescue hundreds of thousands of God's people, and to bring them into the Promised Land.

Like Moses, God wants us to value honesty, so that we too could effectively lead people to the promised land, heaven.

God bless you!
