Sacrament of Penance - CCC 1421
Jesus healed many sick people, but he doesn't want it to end there. He wants his followers, the Church to continue the work of healing. That is why he instituted the Sacrament of Penance.
Read the Gospel passage of the Paralytic in Mark 2, where Christ before healing him, forgave his sins. The work of healing through the forgiveness of sins continues in the Church through the Sacrament of Penance.
