Dearly Beloved,
As you know, Anacortes is know for its boating. One of its attractions is that people can park their boats here at one of the marinas. On their free time, they could set sail to sustain their livelihood for the purpose of fishing. Or they use it for recreation to just be on the water. It's here in this beloved city that many boats find their dwelling place.
But those of you who have a boat know the cost of owning one. Operations and maintenance alone can be quite hefty. But for boat owners, it's worth every penny as soon as one sets sail on the water to one's desired destination.
I see St Mary Parish not just a small boat, but a large ship. Our sole purpose is to glorify God and sanctify souls. We are on the course to heaven.
But we cannot do this alone. Many hands on deck are needed for us to reach our final destination.
We have just completed our Time and Talent Fair. In the next few weeks, we are focusing on the stewardship of treasure campaign. Pledge forms have been sent to your home along with the Parish Annual Report. Pledge forms are also in the pews for you to renew your stewardship commitment.
Please remember that God loves a cheerful giver. As you renew your offering, I ask that you please consider increasing your pledge this year. You can also make a pledge online. After filling out the pledge card, please place them in the collection baskets or send it back to the parish office. I'm seeking 100% participation and want all households to at least fill out the pledge forms. We need all hands on deck for the journey to heaven.
I have asked Mr. Keith Mack to be a witness speaker for our Stewardship of treasure.
