When the Pharisees approached Christ and ask him about When the Kingdom of God is coming, The Lord responded that the Kingdom of God cannot be observed.
There is something lost in translation. Because in the Greek text, the word observation is not a philosophical one, as if someone is searching for wisdom or insights. They are not looking to Christ for answers, but they are demanding answers.
In other words, they approached Christ with much hostility. It was an attitude that is: "tell us when or shut your mouth."
It was not only rude but of much insult. They approach Christ with much hostility. When the Lord said that the Kingdom of God cannot be observed, he is saying that their hostile attitude is keeping them from seeing the Kingdom. The Kingdom cannot exist without the king which is Christ. The King is standing before them but they cannot see it.
I can approach Christ and make demands. I want this! I want that! When I approach Christ and make demands, I am blind to God's plans and what God wants of me. If I make demands on God, I cannot allow God to make demands for my life. When I allow God to make demands, I will discover my purpose. "And now I see."
