Dearly Beloved, 

With Christ, there are no surprises.  Certain things to expect are three Ps.  Persecution - "you will be hated by all because of my name."  Protection - "not a single hair on your head will be destroyed.  Perseverance - "by your perseverance, you will secure your lives."  Being a disciple of Christ means that I won't be surprise, and I can't expect anything different.
